Erik Centeno

Atlanta United selected Erik Centeno with the 19th pick in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft. A Generation adidas selection, he was the only freshman to start all 16 games for the University of the Pacific in 2021, recording six goals and five assists. Centeno garnered First- Team All-West Coast Conference and conference Freshman of the Year honors after leading the team in points and tying for the team lead in goals.

Centeno was loaned to ATL UTD 2 for the 2023 season. The Stockton, California native played in 26 of 28 games during the club’s first season in MLS NEXT Pro. Centeno made 18 starts and finished with a 1,694 minutes played. He scored his first professional goal on June 4 in a 5-0 win against Miami. He added two assists on the season, while creating 21 chances in 2023.

Centeno spent the 2022 season on loan with ATL UTD 2 and started 16 of his 30 appearances in the USL Championship, recording three assists.
